Brother to BowTech’s innovative Guardian, the General combines BowTech’s proprietary Center Pivot riser technology along with its sleek third generation CenterTrac Binary Cams, creating extreme stability and accuracy. The General also features a generous 8 1/4 inch brace height that adds to its ultra smooth shootability. Another added bonus to the General is the roller guard and ShortStop string suppressor combo that extends cable life and takes string suppression technology to new levels of silence.

“Last year I wrote that the BowTech Guardian was the quietest, most vibration-free compound bow I had ever shot. That statement is now outdated,” said Inside Archery’s editor, Bill Krenz. “The 2008 General has even less hand shock! If there is such a thing as zero hand shock, this bow surely approaches it.”

Other specs include peak draw weights up to 70 lbs. and draw lengths ranging from 26 to 30 inches. But more notable is The General’s maneuverable 31 3/16 inch axle to axle, giving this bow a firm command in the most crowded hunting situations. All this, along with BowTech’s optional speed or smooth modules, make The General a unique shooting experience.

Sales Manager Jerid Strasheim comments, “The General is a diehard hunter’s bow. Every aspect of The General is designed to enhance performance and accuracy, and its shootability is extremely impressive… it’s just fun to shoot.”

Eugene, OR (September 27, 2007) Like any other seven year old, BowTech has experienced phenomenal growth since its birth in 2000. That growth received recognition last week when the Eugene Chamber of Commerce awarded BowTech with a 2007 Emerald Award. Believing that the success of a business is a success for the entire community, the Emerald Awards Ceremonies honor Eugene and Springfield businesses for “doing good things” and exhibiting the best practices in various categories.

BowTech was selected in the Growth Award category from nearly 90 nominees for adding 141 jobs from January 2005 to December 2006 and for offering “excellent employee benefits and demonstrating revenue growth.” BowTech was officially announced as the winner of this award on Tuesday September 25th, 2007 during the Emerald Award ceremony at the Hult Center. More than 400 local businesses and community leaders attended the event.

“God has certainly blessed this company. We are very proud of our employees and humbled by the growth we’ve experienced, and we’re going to continue to honor the Lord by seeking excellence in all we do,” says President John Strasheim.

Other businesses receiving Emerald Award honors were: Life technologies for Innovation, Pacific Source Health Plans for Community Caring, Café Yumm for Environmental Values and Wildish as Business of the Year.

BowTech manufactures and distributes the world’s finest compound bows and archery equipment. Founded in 1999, BowTech’s corporate offices and manufacturing facilities are located on the outskirts of Eugene, Oregon.
Lester will fill the newly created position of Product Development Manager. As an industry leader in the archery world, BowTech has increasingly been presented with growth opportunities. Lester’s scope of responsibilities will focus on the development of those other product opportunities as well as the exploration of entirely new ideas and market directions.

Lester has gained a great deal of industry experience as National Sales Manager for Blackhawk Arrow Company and VaneTec, both of which are subsidiaries of Gold Tip – a leading arrow manufacturer. And prior, he worked as the Archery Buyer for Sportsman’s Warehouse.

“It’s great to be a part of such a fast-growing company. BowTech is not satisfied with mediocrity and that fits my mentality,” Lester admits. He became familiar with BowTech early on as a young hunter, and has since come full circle, joining the BowTech team.

National Sales Manager Jerid Strasheim is enthusiastic about what Lester contributes to the team, “Dayne’s background and knowledge of the industry is invaluable to us. He brings a very unique skill set, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him here.”

The Stryker Crossbow, just introduced by BowTech in November of 2006, rocked the archery world with its impressive performance qualities and futuristic appearance. Now, with all the pride of a big brother, Stryker is introducing a remarkable little brother, the Desert Stryker.

The Desert Stryker represents a combination of explosive speed and graceful motion in a tight little package that measures 18 1/4″ axle-to-axle with a lean mass weight of just 8.6 lbs. Extreme Horizontal Force Technology, a Desert Stryker engineering exclusive featuring increased limb angle to deliver more arrow speed, throttles 425 grain bolts at an amazing 350 fps (116 ft/lbs kinetic energy).

Even with all this power, Desert Stryker is as covert as they come, hidden behind sound, shock, and vibration dampening WhisperTech technology. Center Pivot engineering attaches the riser near the center of the limbs, so the limb tips move less mass weight and distance. This creates minimal overall limb movement and the result is refined stability unlike anything experienced before.

And remember the Binary Cam System? On Desert Stryker, the binary cam arrangement resists being pulled off center when cocked and self-centers in the string hook. The added value of a Teflon-coated string hook reduces wear to provide long-term string durability.

“We’re filling a gap in the crossbow market by adding a product that’s affordably priced, but with all the features you’d expect from a high-end crossbow,” stated John Strasheim, President and CEO of BowTech. “It’s another option for the serious, value-minded sportsman and it’s just in time for the 2007 season.”

The Desert Stryker is equipped with many of the same components of its big brother: stock, adjustable fore grip, needle roller bearings, Weaver rail, patent pending Bolt Sensor Safety System, and much more. The Desert Stryker is available with an optional accessory package that includes: multiple reticle red-dot 1×30 scope; four 425-grain matched bolts; padded, detachable sling; four-arrow quick release quiver, and quiver hip holster.

MSRP for the Desert Stryker is set at $999 ($1,099 with the accessory package), making it a value-priced, high-end performance crossbow that delivers a big bang for the buck (or bear, or moose, etc.). Effortless loading is made possible with the optional EZ2Draw cocking aid that reduces pull effort by fifty percent.

For more information on the new Desert Stryker Crossbow, contact Stryker at 90554 Hwy 99 North, Eugene, OR 97402 · Telephone: (541) 284-4711 · Or visit www.strykerxbow.com.

The new industry leader in crossbow technology and speed introduces the Stryker Crossbow putting together stealth, speed and power in the hands of hunters precisely what they need to bring down the most challenging game. Every element of the Stryker Crossbow is engineered for superior performance in the field, and its innovative design offers several new patent-pending features that give hunters a competitive edge. Stryker’s WhisperTech Silence technology delivers a significantly quieter shot with less vibration, and by reducing noise and vibration, the Stryker Crossbow improves both stealth and accuracy. Stryker’s cocking system uses a patent-pending, silent Sprague clutch instead of the traditional ratcheting device — so game won’t be tipped off to your presence. All cocking system components are housed inside the bow (also patent pending), in comparison to the external systems on other crossbows. This not only creates a clean look, it makes it easier to hold the Stryker Crossbow to your cheek for aiming.

Stryker’s advanced design makes the cocking process easier and safer than ever. Simply depress the de-cocking lever, insert the cocking handle and crank (clockwise) the string carrier over the string. Then, close the carrier, release the de-cocking lever and crank (counter-clockwise) the cocking handle until the bow is fully cocked making the overall cocking even easier than ever before. A cranking port on each side of the cheek plate makes this easy for right- or left-handers. This advanced system also makes de-cocking the bow a simple process — something that is difficult to do and even warned against by other manufacturers.

Eugene, OR (April 5, 2007) BowTech has made another quality acquisition with their recent purchase of all manufacturing and licensing rights to the Still Shot capture arrow rest, a precision accessory that was originally developed by Catawba Archery. BowTech has renamed the product the Hostage and will distribute from its Eugene headquarters under the Diamond Archery brand.

In addition to total arrow containment, the Hostage arrow rest incorporates several engineering and design features that fit perfectly with Diamond’s high quality image. To begin with, its 3-point rest structure allows arrow fletching to pass through without touching the brushes, resulting in minimal or no fletch damage.

Additionally, the Hostage creates less friction, which means less impact on arrow speed. But perhaps the most significant feature is the noise reduction, which is more than 50% compared to the leading competitor. Any one of these advantages can stand alone, but as a package, they make the Hostage a top contender in the archery accessories market.

“The addition of the Hostage brings an exceptional quality capture arrow rest to our existing line of Diamond accessories,” says John Strasheim, CEO and President of BowTech. “Along with the arrow containment that mainstream bowhunters desire, the Hostage presents a quiet, fast release with little or no fletching damage.”

Each brush block is custom molded with nylon bristles that are trimmed to a v-shape centering the arrow at full draw. The brush sets are designed to last for thousands of shots and accommodate either carbon or aluminum arrows.
