I harvested this 5X7 stag Muley in Montana with my Guardian. I was watching several nice 5X5’s coming back from the river to bed, so I sat by some trails I thought they would use. Unfortunately they passed me at 80 yards, I stood up and turned around and there he was at 50 yards. With confidence I took the shot.

I took my first Elk, a Roosevelt in Oregon, thanks to professional guide Jamie Coleman, with my Guardian bow on Sept the 9th 2007. It was Sunday evening around 5 pm we were walking and bugling up the canyons. We dropped our packs and took our time climbing as we tried to close the distance on the roaring elk. We got about half the way up the hill and all we could hear was the bull crashing down the mountain. Jamie told me to get ready to shoot. He went behind me a ways and in a few seconds all I could see horns coming through the woods. He offered a great 30 yard shot and the fun part was over. Thanks Jamie.

On January 1st, my friend and I decided to do a quick morning hunt before work. This was my first bow hunt. He was using a 12 gauge side by side and I was using my BowTech Allegiance. He was teasing me about bringing my bow instead of a shot gun. We both limited out within 2 hours. I really impressed him with how easy the bow was to use. This was so much fun I am thinking that I will do all hunting with my bow.

Makana Hirota: Billy on the Big Island

I’m a 17 year old and i took this 20″ billy on November 23, 2007 with my 2006 TomKat. I was hunting on the Big Island, Hawaii with some hunting friends. We came across a herd of about 30 billies and nannies feeding in some thick trees. My partner and I put the stock on and found ourselves thirty yards from this billy, he gave me a clear shot and so I “let the arrow fly” and made a nice hit. He didn’t go far and crashed.

Over the past 2 years I have hunted cougars for 8 days and have treed 4 mountain lions. Unfortunately the first three were breeding females and not what I was looking for. On December 8th, with fresh snow on the ground and a temperature of -21 Celsius we felt confident that a cougar would be found. We hunted in an area of Castle River, Alberta that had a male cougar snarling at a friend of mine during the elk season in late November. After traveling to the area with a BowTech Guardian, we crossed the track of the cougar hunting a herd of elk the previous night. A couple of hours of hiking, and we caught up to the dogs that had treed this cougar near the peak of one of the mountains. It was a great hunt and I thank Brent Sinclair for the use of his dogs.

Rob Driedger’s Manitoba Bull

The bull was screaming and chuckling at almost every step. He was moving in through the timber fast, trying to catch that cow my brother was perfectly imitating 75 yards downwind. At 8 yards my 2006 Old Glory rammed the G5 Striker through his vitals and 60 yards later I was holding the antlers of my first bull elk.

Hunting Staff Member James Guseman Jr.’s Ohio Buck

It was November 5th, and the rut was on in Athens county, Ohio when this 150 class buck came in at 35 yards chasing a doe followed by five other bucks, but there was no doubt which one I wanted to take. There was no time to waste so I drew my General on him and I was busted, but he did not run and that was his mistake.
