Leading manufacturer Diamond Archery, a subsidiary of BowTech, has gathered input from the nation’s top bowhunters and used this knowledge to improve its line of premium quality bows across the board. Nowhere is this more evident than in the new 2007 Diamond Black Ice, a high-performance bow that gives serious bowhunters the shootability, performance, and accuracy to meet - and beat - any bowhunting challenge.
The new Diamond Black Ice bow features Diamond Archery’s improved cam and module system (available in 1/2″ increments), delivering optimum performance for any bowhunter. This revolutionary new cam features more center mass, resulting in increased speed and decreased cam lean. The new bow geometry developed for the Black Ice highlights 12″ solid limbs and 53-degree, beyond-parallel limb configuration that combines to provide high efficiency with minimal hand shock. This means the maximum percentage of stored energy is transferred to the arrow - without the common shock and vibration that can compromise accuracy.
Diamond Archery’s new 4″ Pinnacle cam features redesigned modules with an extended “backside” to prevent over-rotation. These longer modules allow the user to custom adjust the draw post and to lengthen the valley. Some hunters prefer a larger valley because it allows them to relax a little while at full draw for a long time in cold weather or if preferred, the archer can maintain a “no creep” set up for maximum performance and accuracy. This exclusive “tunable” valley (not possible with shorter modules) gives hunters this advanced capability. This new design’s optimized center cam mass placement further reduces shock and noise on release, improving stealth and accuracy.
The Diamond Black Ice is designed with a new shelf trough and thumb groove below - reducing the distance between the shooter’s hand and the arrow rest holes. With this unique trough, moving the user’s hand closer to the arrow reduces vertical torque and creates additional stability. For secure comfort, the Diamond Black Ice also features a new two-piece grip design with super-thin side plates. An optional one-piece contoured grip is available.
The Black Ice limbs and risers feature Mossy Oak Break Up camouflage finish. Diamond Archery also offers an awesome target version of the Black Ice, anodized in black/ red variegated color.
The Diamond Black Ice has a forgiving 7-1/2″ brace height and a 31 3/4″ axle-to-axle length. It is available in draw lengths from 26″ to 30″ and peak draw weights of 50, 60 and 70 pounds. A lightning fast IBO speed rating of 317 fps helps bowhunters make the toughest shots and bring down even tougher game.
The new Black Ice carries an affordable Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $699. It is also offered with Diamond Archery’s Timberline Accessory Package, including the test fired and ready-to-shoot bow, along with a 5-Pin Fiber Optic Sight, Capture Arrow Rest, Camo Four-Arrow Twist Release Quiver, Braided Sling, Peep Sight and 4″ Camo Stabilizer. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for this advanced package is only $829 including the bow!
